Given the opportunity to display their work in a 3m cube, Arca chose to create a new piece of work which encouraged visitors to the exhibition to be creative. The installation consisted of a desk with a translucent top, with sockets in it. An ‘icebucket’ also built into the desk was filled with sanded perspex shapes which could be combined to create an imaginary cityscape. This became known as the ‘City of Light’, and the glowing desk illuminated the towers and city blocks that people formed.

A DVD of Arca’s work was also prepared by the practice, and showed in the display space.
